You can all relax (and so can I *whew*), cuz according to this Globe write-up I can stop harassing you about going to and supporting the Brattle...
Ha! Not bloody likely, suckas! =)
Thanks to Dusty B. for the pointer to the article.

Monty Python-a-thon @the Brattle
Tomorrow, Saturday, Jan 5, at the Brattle Theater in Harvard Square.
3.30 - AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT
5.30 - THE LIFE OF BRIAN
7.30 - HOLY GRAIL
9.30 - THE MEANING OF LIFE
and, at midnight, just cuz - SUPERBAD!
Actually, SUPERBAD is part of the "Brattle Staff Picks" series, and is also playing *tonight* at midnight, after BLACK NARCISSUS.
I'm gonna try and make a select one or two of the Python flicks, but haven't committed yet. The one I really want to see is LIFE OF BRIAN (go figure). I haven't seen it on the big screen since... well, since it was released in theaters way back when. Yeah, my parents let me go see it! Aren't they the cooOOoolest? That or perhaps the most negligent. Eh, potayto, potahto, right? Of course, all of the religious/political brilliance shot right over my head back then, but I was floored by the alien abduction, laughed at the naked desert vow-of-silence guy, Pontiuth Pilate, and his great friend Biggus D. from Wome, and walked out of there with "Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life" burned into my brain.
So, put down your beakers, your 2d10, your O'Reilly manuals, your otaku paraphernalia, shut off the autoclave, rock tumbler, or game chat, grab your friends, and check out the Monty Py-thon. If you need a spotter for one of the showtimes, particularly BRIAN, let me know, and I'll see if I can make it. Also, have a look ahead at the rest of the Staff Picks series, and then the Recent Raves series, featuring the likes of...
EASTERN PROMISES (slick, vicious, cool, like a snake)
ZODIAC (I missed it in theaters, want to see it on the big screen)
I KNOW WHO KILLED ME (poor Lindsay =)
RATATOUILLE (brilliant!)
GRINDHOUSE (ingenious fun!)
THE HOST (one of my favritest movies)
THE LAST WINTER (creepy, well-crafted eco-horror)
THE A OF JJ BY THE C RF (missed it, can anyone recommend it?)
3:10 TO YUMA (rollicking cool Oscar-worthy western)
CONTROL (the beautifully shot and not so happy story of the lead singer of Joy Division)
and more...

Gladiators return
The American Gladiators, that is. Only got as far as looking at the home page, but had to mention... Check out the roll call in the header at top right...
One of the Gladiatrix's names is Hellga! HELL-ga!
Genius. =)
Looks like the show gets a prime time slot, at least for its premiere. I thought it would launch in the original's old spot, late late night on the weekends. Isn't that right? I think it usedta be on after Friday Night Videos? Or was it post-SNL?
I don't see the Atlasphere among the events! Nuts.

Happy Frickin New Year
Caught BLADE RUNNER: FINAL CUT at the Brattle on Sunday. Was my first chance to see the installed plaques! =)
Thanks, sis, and all my lying liar friends!
Oh yeah, it's, like, 2008 now. You know how I can tell? Pizza and the TWILIGHT ZONE marathon on the SciFi channel. Also, there was this business...
Wack.
