Greetings, programs!
* July 31. Disney's been slapping the legal whammy on all versions of the video from Comic-Con (except the Rickrolls, of course) wherever it popped up online, but someone's posted it anew here (see below)... Who knows how long it'll last? Check it out!
The above is a tweaked and cropped version of the cellphone vid found here at a Gizmodo post. TR2N! (TRON 2, that is.) It looks frickin gorgeous, like a computer generated and animated AKIRA... and the frickin awe-dience reaction is excellent =)
And frickin frackin Jeff "Flynn/The Dude" Bridges is back for it!
Thanks to my sis for passing this along. =)
Keep on keepin on~

some stuff you should watch...
1. DOCTOR HORRIBLE'S SING-ALONG BLOG! Only available for viewing online thru July 20! You can also download and view each and all of the three acts from the iTunes store.
Brought to you by a creative team featuring BUFFY/ANGEL and FIREFLY creator Joss Whedon, Doogie Howser, Malcolm Reynolds, and Potential Slayer Vi, as well as others of clan Whedon, the story is set in a universe that neighbors BUFFY's on one side, and that of the VENTURE BROTHERS on the other. It's a supervillainous adventure!... Into romance!... With song!
Don't be a dumbass. GO WATCH!
Thanks to PJ for reminding me of the "opening day" of this joyous awesomely awesome awesomeness!
2. The video for "Dance With Me" by the Old 97s, from their album Blame It On Gravity...
If the YouTube link goes down, try this, over at scifi.com.
I totally dig this song, but I wonder if I'm the victim of a copycat A-Ha "Take On Me" phenomenon, y'know? The one where Brian reaches for the newer milk in the back of the refrigerated shelves and gets sucked into that world where everyone is rotoscoped and pencil sketched, and the pretty boy singer w the big hair smashes his way out of it and into the real world and when Lois asks him where he's been he says, "I don't know!" Anyhow, I saw the video and loved it before I ever heard the song on its own.
I think I will need the album.
Thanks to Citizen Chris for pointing me to this musical goodness.
3. An ingenious series of how-to videos for Photoshop—YOU SUKC AT PHOTOSHOPS. Feckin brilliant! =)
Thanks to my sister for alerting me to this educational and entertaining madness.
I have a PhD... in Horribleness! =)

merry america!
Here's a bit of Happy day-after-Independence Day reading for y'all. A VANITY FAIR essay by a writer who submits himself to the (is it?) torture technique known as waterboarding, which is said to "simulate" drowning.
Thanks to PJ for pointing me to it.
Keep on keepin on~
