subway samaritan on Letterman!

Please have a look at this clip of most excellent father and New Yorker, Wesley Autrey—the man who saved a 19 year old stranger who had fallen off a subway platform onto the tracks before an imminent train—interviewed on David Letterman this week. I was hoping to find a longer clip that included David's very heartfelt and somewhat run-on build-up/intro to the actual appearance, but this is the best I could locate as of this evening.

Here's a shorter, edited, clip, posted by CBS, and thusly, less likely to be yanked from youTube. And, here, a CBS news report.

Heartening to know of a little bit of something right in the world. Real. Basic. Extraordinary.

Thanks to Chris for sharing the recorded interview with my sister, her friend Ed, and myself this evening.

Fool, keep on keepin on~
